DevOps Engineer
DevOps Engineer with Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, JavaScript, XML, REST APIs, and Curam Social Program Management frameworks to support business and operational requirements.
- Analyze business requirements, perform technical design assessments, and translate functional specifications into scalable application enhancements and software solutions.
- Coach and mentor Agile software development teams on Agile best practices, technical delivery processes, DevOps adoption, continuous improvement, and efficient collaboration across cross- functional teams.
- Develop and enhance UI components, workflows, business rules, and application functionality using JavaScript, XML configurations, Java services, and Curam development standards.
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity, Bitbucket, Git, and deployment automation tools to improve software delivery efficiency and release reliability.
- Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, merge activities, and release version control using Bitbucket and Git-based source control platforms.
- Develop and maintain enterprise integrations utilizing REST APIs, web services, JSON/XML messaging, and service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.
- Configure and support automated build, deployment, and environment management processes across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Utilize Jira Agile for technical backlog management, sprint execution, requirements tracking, release planning, and coordination of development activities.
- Research, evaluate, and implement AI-driven solutions, automation capabilities, and intelligent workflow enhancements to improve application performance, operational efficiency, and user experience while supporting continuous modernization initiatives.
Knowledge/Experience Required:
- Strong experience with Java, JavaScript, XML, REST APIs, JSON, and enterprise application development in complex software environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of Curam Social Program Management (SPM) architecture, application configuration, workflows, and business rule implementation.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity, Bitbucket, Git, and deployment automation tools.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, release management, build automation, source code management, and continuous delivery practices.
- Experience with Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, Agile coaching, and delivery management.
- Knowledge of UI and web application development technologies, including JavaScript, web services, XML configurations, and responsive application design.
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise integrations using RESTful services, APIs, JSON/XML messaging, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Proficiency in Jira Agile, technical requirements analysis, workflow management, release planning, and cross-functional team coordination.
- Experience managing application deployments and environment configurations across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Knowledge of AI tools, automation technologies, and emerging software engineering practices to support process optimization, intelligent workflows, and continuous modernization initiatives.
